For
Teachers:
I
have created a new seminar for teachers called “Building Resilience
Around Loss, Death and Change: What Works and What Doesn’t.”
Most
students process loss and grieve in school toilets. This stress impedes
learning and social and emotional growth for much longer than it needs to and
unresolved grief surfaces later in life having damaging effects in so many
ways, especially in one’s capacity to give and receive love. This full day
seminar will equip teachers with the tools to be their school’s Loss
Specialist and resource person. I will also cover simple ceremonies that can
be used to help school communities acknowledge significant loss. If you are
interested in this seminar – let Liz know and we will create a time and
place.
GERALDTON
TRIP IN EARLY NOVEMBER
Many
people have requested I come to Geraldton to run parenting and teacher
seminars and I promised I would before I leave the State. If you would like me
to run a parenting seminar in your pre school, school or community hall –
get in soon as Liz is busy preparing the agenda.
