10 RESILIENCE BUILDING BLOCKS FOR
CHILDREN 0-12 Resilience is essential for our children to cope with the demands of our chaotic, uncertain world. Maggie has created a new easy to follow model to build resilience in children from 0-12. It is called 10 Resilience Building Blocks – and it clearly shows what these are, why they are important and how to enhance building them. THE
LIGHTHOUSE MODEL FOR ADOLESCENT RESILIENCE From
Maggie’s extensive experience of working with adolescents for over
more than twenty years she has created an innovative, dynamic model for
families, schools and communities to build resilience and connectedness
for 12-25 year olds. Adolescents need adult allies to help them navigate
the tricky waters of the teenage years – the art of guiding,
encouraging empowerment while strengthening self esteem and personal
autonomy is one that can be learned. This model explores the shift in
raising children to raising teenagers, and what works and what won’t.
This explores the differing roles of mentors, coaches and includes
cutting edge techniques for bringing out the best in all 12-25 year
olds. Excellent for parents, teachers, youth workers, counsellors and
health professionals. |
